PLEASE PRAY! After an uneventful day, we just got a call from our pastor, Warren Harvey. The Harveys and all the Clark kids went to the NC State Baseball game tonight, and Samara has had a pretty bad asthma attack. The EMTs at the field treated her, and feel that she is unstable enough that she is now on an ambulance to the hospital (Rex or Western Wake, we have conflictng reports). Warren is with her in the ambulance. We don't know any more right now, and that is NOT GREAT!
So, pray for Samara and her health and her emotions; these episodes are quite scary for her. And, pray for her Mom and Dad here in Minnesota, worried and wishing that we were there and not here for about 1000 reasons. It is already an emotional time for us here, so pray for Dee Dee's heart as the cancer prevents her from being "Mother" during a true Mother moment.
Thanks,
Tony

I just came in to check hoping you would have posted about your safe arrival, but when I saw the post, it really upset me. I called Rex and then Wake and they said she was at Cary Wake so I called there and talked to Samara and Gary. Samara seemed to be okay now and is hoping to leave the hospital soon. I also talked to Gary and he said Samara was doing okay. He promised me that he would call me if there was any need to, but didn't think there would be.
I hate that we didn't know about this sooner as Paul and I could have gone to the hospital.
I know that you and Dee Dee are feeling a sense of helplessness by not being here with Samara. Just know in your hearts that God is with her. Put your trust and faith in God to take the Upmost care of your precious daughter. She couldn't be in better care than this. You have wonderful Christian friends that have been with her too.
You and Dee Dee have a few un-nerving days ahead of you. Days that you will need to draw on your strength from God and your love for each other. Tomorrow is Sunday... a day of rest. You both need to take this time to rest, to talk and to hold onto each other and to pray. I told you earlier that God not only wants you to ask what is in your heart, but answers these prayers. Believe me when I say that I haven't been bashful about asking God for the healing of Dee Dee. I pray for His blessings every day for you and Dee Dee, Randy and Donna and for each one of my wonderful 11 grandchildren.
I will talk with you and Samara tomorrow and will have my church praying for all of you over the next few days.
I love you with all the love a Mom can have.
