Pray tonight!

Just a quick note, please pray for her tonight. She is really pretty sick, and has been since this morning's procedure. She hasn't been able to eat, and just hurts. Lots of nausea. Minnesota may be a perfectly wonderful place, but right now we're not big fans.

She needs to not be sick for a few hours; she needs to not hurt; she needs to be able to sleep; and tomorrow she needs to be able to keep food down.

Also, she had to drink some fairly nasty medication tonight for tomorrow's test, and was unable to keep it down. Please pray that she is able to get the test done tomorrow despite that difficulty.

Thanks,

Tony

Tony,
I have just printed these specific prayer requests that you have mentioned and will be lifting Dee Dee up. I am so sorry that she is going through so much (not too easy on you either!) and pray that the Lord sustains her as only He can. God bless you, in His perfect keeping.

Cindy Walker

P.S. Please give her a big hug from me.

Dear Tony & Dee Dee,
I've recently had the mental image of approaching God with prayer concerns and laying them at His feet, knowing that He will lift them up into His loving arms ... tonight that's where I place you both, trusting that you will find peace & rest & comfort to get you through the night and Tuesday, too. It is so difficult to want to take care of people we love, and not be able to "fix" everything that's wrong. God give you peace, in your trust in Him.

Yesterday after I shared a bit of your story in our service, one of the retired physicians in our congregation came up to check with me on how you're doing. He remembers Gabe's story, and occasionally asks how you're all doing, anyway. He's somewhat hard to read, but I think that he truly cares about people, and I know that he is a strong Christian man. So I also believe that he will be praying with the rest of us.

I'm amazed that you are able to keep us connected to what's going on there in Minnesota. But perhaps your "blogging" helps remind you of how many people love you, and join your prayers daily (and at night, too!).

"...therefore, have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my sould; therfore will I hope in him." -- Lamentations 3: 21b-24.

Love to you,
Linda Lee

Tony & DeeDee:

I just wanted to let you know you're in my prayers. We will continue the prayers until you're on the other side of this situation. God is able! I pray that God will put His arms of love and comfort around you and grant you the wisdom you both need in making whatever decisions come your way. God will carry you. Take care and remember that many prayers are being lifted up for all of you. God bless.

Dear Tony and Dee Dee,

Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope the tests this morning have been completed and Dee Dee is now well on her way to feeling better.

There is a God above and he is looking out for Dee Dee and all the Clark's, during this difficult time.

Safe travels as you head back home.

Tony,

After reading your entry from a couple of days ago, I want you both to know that through our Lord Jesus Christ, "YOU are true, you are honorable, you are just, you are pure, you are lovely, and you are commendable..." Don't forget to reflect on the fact that His love is over you, over arching, all encompassing. Just as your love for Dee Dee doesn't need to be stated nor visually seen, His love is all over and through you two, seen and unseen. As Christ said, "[if you] practice these things, the God of peace will be with you." God will bless you for practicing these things. Count on it.

Continuing in prayer for you and your family.

Joe

p.s. if the 'modified scripture' quoted above had been from the SRV (Southern Revised Version), it would have read, "Y'all are commendable, y'all are...", but I don't advocate using that version. :-)
